About us
Founded in 2016, D F Lynch is an independent firm of Project Managers and Chartered Quantity Surveyors specialising in premium residential projects for private clients and design-led developers.
Relationships are everything to us and whilst a significant amount of our work is close to our base in the heart of the Cotswolds, the connection with our clients often leads us to work on their homes in London or on the coast. We believe our focus on the delivery of outstanding homes for our clients sets us apart from others but, in truth, this type of work is our passion and we are fortunate to work on projects which really excite us and which we are proud to be part of.
We are convinced that this passion drives our service offering to the highest level and we feel the repeat business which we are grateful to enjoy with clients and trusted architects and interior design partners reflects this. As such we work hard to find the best people to partner with our clients and to work with them on an ongoing basis.
Our team
Dan Ryde MRICS
Founding Director
Dan has spent many years working as a PM and QS consultant for a broad range of clients across a variety of sectors but in recent years has focused on the delivery of premium residential projects for private clients and niche developers. He enjoys leading highly performing teams and seeing the realisation of a client’s aspirations as a project evolves.
Dan also holds an RICS Diploma in Adjudication and spends part of his time delivering dispute resolution and contract advice, often instructed by construction solicitors. Within D F Lynch, Dan firmly believes in prevention rather than cure and his experience in the dispute resolution arena helps to make sure things are properly set up from the outset to minimise the risk of ambiguity or disagreement in the projects D F Lynch delivers.
Above all, Dan is obsessed with delivering exceptional service to you, our clients, and set up D F Lynch believing that services could be better delivered by a team of dynamic and passionate individuals. That ethos is very much at the core of our business today.
And our name…? Dan’s Grandfather, D F Lynch, was a local builder with an extremely strong work ethic and a primary focus on delivering an exceptional service always. Dan holds his Grandfather responsible for his inspiration to deliver the highest level of service through D F Lynch today.

Prior to joining D F Lynch, Nigel worked for an international multi-disciplinary consultancy on a variety of projects and with strong experience on heritage schemes which is a real asset on many of the Listed Buildings we find ourselves working on.
Nigel takes a leading role on many of our projects and is nurturing relationships with our trusted partners as well as helping with the continued training and development of the team.
With over ten years of industry experience, Nigel’s insight from his time with a large institution helps to ensure that, despite our size, our processes are every bit as advanced and well-developed as many of our larger competitors.

Louisa joined D F Lynch after a career change having previously worked in a client-focused role in the travel industry. She is currently undertaking an MSc in Quantity Surveying and will then work towards being a chartered surveyor.
Since joining the team Louisa has had a positive impact on both our client relationships and the successful delivery of projects, assisting Dan and Nigel to ensure the highest level of service is delivered at all times.
